Anthony Principe
I'm Anthony Principe, and I'm an architectural intern as well as a student in the M. Arch I program at Syracuse University.
So a little bit of information on me. My name is Anthony Principe and I’ve know I wanted to be an architect for some time. Creating a habitual environment for people to use on a daily basis and something that will last for a long time is something that has always appealed to me. Ever since I was young I would use Legos and building blocks to make buildings. Later on when I got older I would play games like the Sims to design even more crazy buildings that would never work in the real world, like a floating castle ha. Once I went to high school I choose to enter the vocational program and picked a drafting class. In that class We used AutoCAD to design random parts for machines in the beginning which really didn’t appeal to me. But once we where allowed to design houses and buildings for projects I know what I wanted to do with the rest of my life, become an architect. From there I applied to college for architecture and eventually went to Alfred State College starting in the fall of 2008. Although a small college I had a great learning experience and had the opportunity to study abroad which is one of the best times of my life. From there I decided to get my master’s of architecture and moved on to Syracuse University in 2012 where I am currently working to finish my degree. I believe architecture is a constant learning process and you will always be learning something new about it now matter how long you are in the profession, which is why I am always trying to learn as much as I can any time I can. My goal in architecture is to one day hopefully own my own firm sometime long down the road and see what new challenges arise from that.
